Pulchowk Sports Club beats Khumaltar Youth Club
Pulchowk Sports Club defeated Khumaltar Youth Club by 1-0 in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League in ANFA Complex on Saturday.
With two matches scheduled to be played at APF Stadium, Halchowk cancelled due to weather conditions, the clash between two Lalitpur based teams was the only match of the day. Tejendra Pun’s tap-in in the 44th minute of the match proved to be decisive for Pulchowk.
Khumaltar had a chance to get themselves back on level terms in the injury time of first half but Sabir Kumar Chaudhary missed the chance from spot kick. Pulchowk’s skipper Srijan Shrestha saved the penalty diving to his left to keep Pulchowk ahead. The win takes Pulchowk’s points tally to 16 points as they climb to the 5th place in the table.
