Panchakanya Tej and Kantipur Gurkhas wins EPL cricket matches
Panchakanya Tej and Kantipur Gurkhas wins in the Wai Wai Everest Premier League cricket at the Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kirtipur on Sunday.
Panchakanya Tej defeated Jagdamba Rhinos by six wickets in the first match of the day, while Kantipur Gurkhas recorded a seven-wicket win against Sagarmatha Legends.
In the first match, Tej completed 130-run target in the 19th over at the cost of four wickets with Prithu Baskota scored 48 runs off 46-ball that included two sixes and four boundaries. Aarif Sheikh remained not out on 33 runs off 26.
Earlier, Rhinos managed 129/4 in allotted 20 overs as Sompal Kami hit 20-ball 43 runs and Mahesh Chhetri contributed 30 facing 32 balls. Kami, who had cracked four sixes, smashed three sixes in a row in the last three balls of the last over.
In the second match, Legends put 124 runs on the board losing nine wickets with Mahaboob Alam scoring highest 23 runs off 19 balls. Sunil Dhamala contributed 21 runs off 34.
In reply, Pradeep Airee scored 55 runs off only 39 and Subash Khakurel hit 28-ball 35 to meet the target in 15 overs with seven wickets in hand.
