Pratibha signed an agreement with Sahas as brand ambassador
Sahas Sports Private Limited has made volleyball star Pratibha Mali its brand ambassador on Tuesday.
Speaking in the signing ceremony organizing in the Kathmandu on Tuesday, Sahas’s President Janak Neupane announced that they made Pratibha brand ambassador for one year period and is worth of Rs 170,000.
As per the deal the national team spiker Pratibha, will get Rs 120,000 in cash as well as sports gears worth Rs 50,000 for the next one year.
Sahas also signed sponsorship agreement with Pratibha’s team New Diamond Sports Club. As per the agreement Sahas Sports will provide the sports kits worth of Rs 175,000. Sahas’s President Janak Neupane and New Diamond’s president Sunkeshari Mali signed on the MoU paper during the function.
Pratibha thanked Sahas sports for choosing her as brand ambassador. “It is the one of the happiest moments in my career. It is positive for overall Nepali volleyball,” said Mali, who plays for New Diamond Academy in domestic volleyball tournaments.
Speaking in the event, Neupane said that the deals with national women’s team’s key player Pratibha and her club is a campaign to get connected with Nepali sports. “Volley ball is national sports and Pratibha is one of the biggest stars of this sport. To get connected with her and New Diamond which is prestigious team in the country is very proud moment for us,” said Neupane. “Signing the agreement with Pratibha and New Diamond, we have started our campaign of promoting Nepali sports and it will spread to other sports and players as well in future.”
Mali is one of the most popular spikers of the country and is among a handful of women players to ply the trade abroad. She was declared the most valuable player in the Maldives volleyball league last year besides winning the title of best foreigner player and queen of match (best player) in four matches playing for Miskiymagu Emmenge Gulhun.
In the event which was also the launching program of the Sahas brand, Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA)’s general secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF)’s president Mahesh Acharya among others expressed their belief of Sahas’ agreements with Pratibha and her club to promote Nepali volleyball.
