Tribhuvan Army Club clinch hockey title

Tribhuvan Army Club clinches the title of the first King Khan Nepal Women’s Indoor Hockey Challenge at the National Sports Council covered hall on Sunday.

TAC beat Station Area Youth Club of Janakpur 3-0 to win the trophy. Champions TAC bagged Rs 50,000 along with the trophy, while runners-up Janakpur received Rs 25,000, informed tournament coordinator Rajendra Pathak.

Pinki Sinjali of Janakpur won the best player’s award, while Rushma Rana of Tribhuvan Army Club was adjudged the best goalkeeper. They received Rs 5,000 each.

A total of seven teams took part in the one-day tournament organised jointly by Nepal Hockey Association and Kathmandu Hockey Club.
