Regan Shrestha win second Rangasala Nationwide Snooker Tournament

Regan Shrestha defeated Raj Kapali 6-1 to win the title of the second Rangasala Nationwide Snooker Tournament on Tuesday.

Shrestha registered a 78-13, 75-28, 44-78, 92-35, 84-34, 125-1, 58-24 victory to win the trophy and a cheque of Rs 100,000.

Shrestha earned Rs 10,000 extra as the highest breaker when he accumulated 76 points in the final.

Kapali pocketed Rs 50,000, while losing semi-finalists Bikash Shrestha and Aman Karki received Rs 15,000 each.

Aman Karki was named the best player of the tournament, while Wangchuk Tamang received the upcoming player’s award.

A total of 64 players from 22 districts took part in the tournament organised by a team of former and current players.
