Nepal vs MMC Live : Nepal set 218 runs target to MCC

Nepal have set a target of 218 runs to Marylebone Cricket Club in a friendly match being played at the Lords, United Kingdom on Tuesday.

Nepal won the toss and chose to bat.

Opener Gyanendra Malla topped Nepal’s batting lineup with 39 runs off 63 balls with five boundaries in his slot.

Malla was followed by skipper Paras Khadka who scored 30 runs off 28 balls before being caught by MCC’s S Clark.

The only six of the game came through Khadka’s bat.

Anil Mandal scored 2 runs. Meanwhile, Sharad Vesawkar scored 27 runs, Sagar Pun contributed 26 runs, Raju Rijal put up 24 runs.

With wickets falling in regular intervals, Sompal Kami and Basanta Regmi contributed precious 20 and 24 runs respectively.

For MCC, skipper Keith Dutch and Chad Barrett picked up two wickets each.

The match at the ‘home of cricket’ will mark a 200-year relationship between Nepal and the United Kingdom but more than the game, it will be a history that Nepal will cherish forever.
