Hull City sign Ryan Mason from Tottenham for club record fee
Hull City have signed midfielder Ryan Mason from Tottenham for a club record fee.
The Tigers have not revealed the exact cost of the 25-year-old, but did confirm it was more than the £10million they paid for previous record signing Abel Hernandez.
Mason, 25, slipped behind Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele in Spurs’ pecking order and made just eight league starts last season in an injury-hit campaign.
Now Spurs’ signing of Victor Wanyama in an £11 million deal from Southampton has further blocked Mason’s path to the first-team, so he has opted to move on, signing a three-year deal at the KCOM stadium.

Hull have struggled to sign anyone this summer with only goalkeeper David Marshall arriving but they won both of their opening Premier League fixtures against Leicester and Swansea with just 13 fit senior players.
