Gorkha Brewery wins Corporate Cup cricket title

Gorkha Brewery clinches the title of Coca Cola Indoor Corporate Cup cricket tournament defeating Sipradi at the Velocity Arena in Ratopool, Kathmandu on Sunday.

Gorkha Brewery defeated Sipradi by three wickets to win the title. Electing to bat first, Sipradi made 91/6 in the allotted overs. In the run chase, Gorkha Brewery made 92 run in the last ball for the loss of four wickets.

Biswas Manandhar made 38 runs on 26 balls and Bijay Rawal Scored 30 runs on 14 deliveries. Prashant Dhakal claimed two wickets  while Krishna Banka and Bivek Thapa took one wicket each for Gorkha Brewery.

While Chiran Thapa made 24 runs off 26 for Sipradi and Birendra Mandal scored 19 runs off 10 deliveries. Mukesh Sigdel and Chiran Thapa  claimed one wicket each for Sipradi.

Earlier In the semifinals, Gorkha Brewery beat F1 Soft by six runs and Sipradi defeated Kantipur Television by 56-runs.

Shawant Sijapati of Sipradi won the man-of-the-series and best bowler award while best batsman won by  Roshan Shrestha of Kantipur Television.

Skipper Paras Khadka distributed the prizes to the winners.
