Man United put Henrikh Mkhitaryan shirts on sale on official website before deal is done
Manchester United seemed to have jumped the gun after showing their new away kit on the club’s website with the name Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the back.
Man United are close to completing the signing of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder for a £26.3m fee.
It is understood the 27-year-old Armenian has agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club and is all set for a medical.
But on Thursday evening the United website were showing pictures of the away kit for the new season with the letters ‘Mkhitaryan’ on the reverse side of the blue shirt.

The photos were swiftly removed from the website later in the evening.
Mkhitaryan has been regularly linked with United and it seems new boss Jose Mourinho is set to land his man, despite having a year remaining on his Dortmund deal.
German out Bild claimed today that the midfielder sent Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel a text saying he was going to United.
The German newspaper say Dortmund have been left disappointed by Mkhitaryan’s ‘two-faced’ behaviour after his agent allegedly agreed a new contract at the Westfalenstadion.
They claim the relationship between the player and the club broke down in the space of two weeks and that Mkhitaryan text Tuchel saying: “I go to Manchester United.”
United are also claimed to have improved their offer to land the Armenian.
Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke told German newspaper WAZ: “The situation is now different.
“Manchester have made a much improved offer. In situations like this there are always a lot of different things to consider and in the end at one point we have to make a decision.
“And as we are back in training on Monday we will decide at the weekend. I have contacted the relevant people and we will weigh things up at the weekend. And then the board will make the decision, definitely at the weekened.”
