Manchester City drawn against Steaua Bucharest in Champions League play-offs

Celtic will take on Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva with Irish champions Dundalk facing Legia Warsaw.

Manchester City have been drawn against Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League play-off round.

Pep Guardiola takes his side to the 1986 winners on August 16 or 17, with the return at the Etihad Stadium the following week.

City finished fourth in the Premier League last term and could have been paired with Roma or Monaco as they bid to make the group stage.

Meanwhile, Celtic will take on Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the final qualifying round.

Brendan Rodgers’ men needed a stoppage time penalty from Moussa Dembele to see off Astana in midweek.

Irish champions Dundalk face Legia Warsaw as they look to make the group stage for the first time.

Dundalk stunned BATE Borisov in midweek but must now find a way past the Polish champions.
