5th South Asian Basketball Association : Nepal beat Maldives 62-54
Nepal beat Maldives 62 – 54 in the last match of the 5th South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Zone Qualifying Round of the FIBA Asia Challenge 2016.
In first round Nepal scored 13 and Srilanka scored 14 points. In second round Nepal scored 17 points against Srilanka 18 points. In third round Nepal scored 13 points against Srilanka 11 points. In the final round Nepal scored 19 points against Srilanka 11 points.
Ashim Shrestha and Ayush Singh scored 15 points each. Sadish Pradhan scored 12 points for Nepal.
Abdul Latheef and Mohammad Zilaal scored 10 points each for Srilanka.
Nepal finished third in the 5th SABA Zone Qualifying Round of the FIBA Asia Challenge 2016 held at Bengaluru, India
India beat Bangladesh 95-35 in the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Zone Qualifying Round and booked the spot in the FIBA Asia Challenge 2016 to be held in Iran.
