LeBron James: “I’ve got no plans to go nowhere at this point”
LeBron James will decide of his Cavaliers contract if he wants to and, given his history of leaving Cleveland, don’t think the temporarily happy people in that city aren’t thinking about it.
The Akron native delivered on his promise to bring Cleveland a major sports title three days ago, and a million or more people were expected to attend Wednesday’s victory parade for the NBA champion Cavaliers.
“I love it here. I love being here. I love my teammates,” James told cleveland.com
“Obviously my agent will take care of all the logistical things, but I’m happy. I’ve got no plans to go nowhere at this point.”
“This is the happiest time in my life right now,” said James, who also won two NBA titles with the Miami Heat.
The 31-year old James, now a three-time NBA champion, is reportedly likely to decline his option and become a free agent so that he can increase his payout for next season and re-sign with the team. The NBA’s salary cap will leap to around a projected range of $94 million.
