Nepal U-19 team recorded a historic win against India by 19 runs in ACC U-19 Asia Cup at Malaysia. Dipendra Singh Airee all-round performance with both bat and ball benefitted Nepal to a famous victory against India for the first time in its cricketing history on Sunday.
Airee scored 88 runs in 101 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes and take four wickets for his side to secure the win.
India opted to bowl, Nepal losing 8 wickets collected 185 runs in 50 overs match. India was all out in 48.1 overs with only 166 runs.
Indian bowlers Adiyta Thakare and Avishek Sharma took two wickets each. For India Captain Himansu Rana scored 46 runs,while Manoj Karla made 35. Likewise Abhishek Sharma added 27, Anuj Rawal scored 18 and Aditya Thakare made13runs.
For Nepal, captain Airee claims four wickets while Pawan Sarraf and Sahab Alem took two each. Likewise, Sandip Lamichhane and Kamal Singh Airee took one each.
Nepal will take on Malaysia Tuesday in its final group match.Earlier on Saturday, Nepal lost to Bangladesh by 2 wickets, in a match that was decided in DL method after it was interrupted by rain.
