Nepal national team squad announcement for Philippines clash

Nepal National Team coaching staff selected 20 players out of 27 at the ANFA Complex on Friday.

A 20-member final squad for the first match of the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers has been announced at the ANFA Complex on Friday.

Three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and four forwards was selected for the 20-member squad from the 27 shortlisted players announced a week ago.

From the shortlist of 27 players, Suman Lama, Devendra Tamang, Alan Neupane, Anil Gurung, Rajendra Rawal, Man Bahadur Tamang and Bimal Basnet weren’t included in the squad.

Nepal will take on the Philippines in the first match of the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers to be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines on March 28.

Nepal are grouped with Tajikistan, Philippines and Yemen in group F.
