Jedinak made 165 league appearances for Palace since joining them from Turkish side Antalyaspor in 2011, with 90 of them coming in the Premier League.
He played in Palace’s opening match of the season against West Brom and now Villa will hope he can inspire promotion for the Sky Bet Championship club.
Jedinak was previously captain at Selhurst Park but former Newcastle manager Pardew stripped him off the armband this summer, handing it to defender Scott Dann instead.
Mile Jedinak becomes new Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo’s sixth summer signing.
The Italian has already brought in Ross McCormack from Fulham as well as James Chester, Aaron Tshibola, Pierluigi Gollini and Tommy Elphick.
