Xavier, Saipal wins the Xavier Cup U-19 Inter-college Basketball title

Hosts Xavier International College and Saipal Academy won the titles of the Xavier Cup U-19 Inter-college Basketball Tournament on Sunday.

In boys’ final, Hosts Xavier defeated Goldengate 53-31 (09-11, 10-00, 12-13, 22-05) to win Boys title. Sailesh Gurung top scored for Xavier with 15 points.

Likewise, Saipal defeated Prime 45-19 (10-02, 13-02, 12-06, 12-09) to lift Girls title. Shriya Khadka top scored for Saipal with nine points.

Anish Magar of Xavier and Sweta Kharel of Saipal won the Most Valuable Player awards.

Maya Shyangtan received the most emerging coach award.
